Happy Sunday to all, Marielle here with an other fun and easy handmade flower technique for you. I read recently on the blog or on the forum that many of you wanted to learn more about making your own embellishments ,so here goes....
For this project, you will need a scallop circle punch, patterned paper of your choice (I chose this beautiful Sassafras paper from the Preppy boy kit), glue,a button and thread. First you need to punch out 5 scallop circles.
Then fold each outside edge towards the middle, as shown.
You will need to make 4 of these ,the 5th circle is for the base of the flower.
Glue all 4 pieces to the base of your flower.
Sew on a button and voila !! a custom made flower for your card or layout.
Here is a little peek at the flower on one of the layouts I created with the "Preppy boy kit" .
I do hope you will try to make these fun and easy flowers for your next projects !
Have a great week, I'll be back next week to talk about my LOVE for the Octobers kits !! (I already know it will be an expensive month !!)
oooohhh. I love this. Thanks for sharing. I want to try this one out. I don't have a scallop punch but I can use the Cricut to cut some scallops. :)
