Beginning October 1, the NEW CC Design Team will begin their duties. This is a great time to get to know the entire team by reading their bios, visiting their blogs, and browsing their galleries. I will post 6 design team gals today, and the remaining 6 on Thursday!
Let me just say first, if you haven't participated in the FUN we have at CC, now is the time to begin with the contests, challenges, blog hops, crops, etc scheduled this month!
Ok, here's the Amazing CC Design Team:
CARA SYLVESTER (carabecca) -- BLOG & GALLERY
Hello CC! My name is Cara Sylvester. I'm mama to Henry + wife to my wonderful husband of four years, Phillip. We live on a small farm in central Delaware. If I'm not scrapping, you can find me cooking, running, or playing with my son.
I've only been scrapping for about three years now, but I've loved every minute of it. Getting to play with paper + pictures is so much fun, and adding some words to the mix always feels like just the right touch. My life mantra is "Live your life as a story worth telling," and scrapping + journaling is my way of telling those stories.
I discovered CC while searching for the perfect kit club, and I'm still here three years later! The kits are amazing and the community here is so warm + welcoming. I've felt like a member of the family from my very first day.
I can't wait to share my love of scrapping and storytelling with all of you.
DEBBIE FITZGERALD (debbiefitz) -- BLOG & GALLERY
My name is Debbie Fitzgerald. I'm married to a great guy who supports my obsession and turns a blind eye to the chaos I leave in my creative wake. We live in northwestern CT with our five amazing kids, and an energetic 130 pound Chesapeake Bay retriever named Harley. Life with a large family is never dull! I always have a story to tell and pictures to scrap. Documenting everyday moments reminds me how blessed I truly am.
I've been scrapping for nearly 8 years. Patterned paper is my obsession, with Thickers being a close second. I’m at my most creative in the evenings after the kids are tucked in. I can't scrap without my black chalk ink, foam tape and my Tim Holtz Tonic scissors. I always have music in the background and a bottle of water close by. I've been fortunate to have my work published in Scrapbook Trends and several online magazines.
I’m just thrilled to be joining the team here at Coordinates Collections. I’m looking forward to making friends and inspiring you!
JENNIFER DUBBS (njscrappin) -- BLOG & GALLERY
Hi...my name is Jen Dubbs and I live in a small southern New Jersey community just outside of Ocean City. I've been happily married for over 15 years and have two children. (an 11yr old son and soon to be 8 yr old daughter) As you will see, my family is the main focus of my scrapping.
I've always been a creative person, dabbling in many different things (taking every possible art class I could fit into my HS & college schedules). When I found scrapbooking after the birth of my son I was instantly hooked. As well as giving me a creative outlet I also find it very therapeutic. (I work full-time and spending a little "me time" scrapping is away for me to recharge my batteries and keep me sane.)
I started out "lurking" here at Coordinates Collections almost from the beginning, I was soon subscribing to kits and hanging out on the message board and then in 2006 I was asked to join the Design Team. I was thrilled and honored...CC is my scrapping home! I love the connections I've made here with the members and I'm very grateful that some of these connections have turned into true friendships.
Here's to many more years of creating and inspiring each other.
KIMBERLY MADRID (kimberlym & kimberlymadrid) -- GALLERY
My name is Kimberly Madrid and I live in Fort Worth, Texas. I'm married to Richard, the best man on the planet, who encourages me daily. I have four children, who are my biggest inspiration and the subject of most of my work. I have been a SAHM since December 2006. I owe all things good in my life to God, and I hope to express that influence in my work and life.
I have been scrapping in some form or another since I was a little girl, when would make "wish books" full of all the things I wanted to get for Christmas. Sometimes those books were a bit ... uh ... long. These days I mostly scrap my kids and family. I don't scrap chronologically. I often scrap the same photo several times. And, I love trying out new styles, new techniques, and new ways to embellish my pages.
I've been enjoying Coordinates Collections kits for quite a while, and I'm always impressed with how well they are put together, and how many projects you can make from just one kit. Plus, the gals on the message board feel like family to me. I am honored to be a part of the Coordinates Collections team. It feels like home!
LINDA DIAS (maginda) -- GALLERY
My name is Linda Dias and I’ve been immersed in scrapbooking and all the fun this hobby has to offer since 2003. It started out as a creative outlet, a way to showcase my story and history but has turned into so much more. What I love most about scrapbooking are the friends that I have made along the way, both online and through various local cropping groups. Scrapbooking has brought me inspiration, personal connections, and a healthy balance to life’s challenges. It’s so much more than just a hobby for me.
I’m thrilled to join the Design Team at Coordinates Collections as its newest Sketch Designer. Having been a graphic designer earlier in my career, it will bring me back to the basics and will surely spark my own creativity. I’ve been part of the Coordinates Collections family for quite a few years now, as kit subscriber, Creative Team member, and Guest Designer, so it already feels like home here. I look forward to working behind the scenes and connecting more with message board members.
So what else am I about? There’s certainly more to my life than scrapbooking. I’m a New Yorker, living in the suburbs of NYC with my husband, Todd. I work from home full-time as a production/editorial manager for a research firm. Besides scrapping, I enjoy photography, music, cooking (and watching the Food Network), baking (cupcakes are my fave!), hiking, spinning, yoga, reading, writing, and planning day trips. I love the New York Yankees and Duke basketball. And I never miss an episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Parenthood, and Glee.
LISA COLE (coleland) -- BLOG & GALLERY
My name is Lisa Cole and I live outside of Seattle, WA in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I'm Mom to Emma, an avid soccer player and social butterfly, and you will find that most of my work is reflective of her. I work at my local court as a judicial assistant by day, and I explore my creative side on the evening and weekends. I started scrapbooking almost 15 years ago and am still thrilled with this awesome hobby! I'm excited by the fact that this hobby is constantly evolving, always bringing fresh ideas to help people tell the stories of their lives through this art.
One of my constant joys in life is being a part of this design team, and I am an original member from the very first kit. Coordinates Collections and the monthly kits give me the latest and greatest products, wonderful friendships, and I'm so proud to call it my scrapbooking home.
