First off, to all those who celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas Eve! I hope you all have a spectacular holiday with family and friends. It's my favorite time of year, so I can't wait to be in full swing of all the festivities. Cookies are all made, presents are almost wrapped, and church, family, and friends await.
Now for our Friday's Fab Find. This week goes to a newbie on the board — IngridM — who made a great interpretation of my December One-Page Sketch. Thanks so much, Ingrid, for playing along! And welcome to CC! Here's the spectacular page she made!
I love the color combo and the burst of glimmer mist to give it a little something extra. Also love how she did the journaling with a trail of buttons and bows. The picture is really unique, too. Keep up the creativity!
I know this time of year is crazy busy for most of us and it may be tough to find time to scrap. Well, one thing that I always do every year during the holiday season is the Journal Your Christmas project offered by Shimelle Laine! This is my fourth year and though I have to admit I am dreadfully behind this year, I am so looking forward to working on it throughout my vacation (till January 3rd!). If you've never done a daily journal, I highly recommend this one. It's a wonderful annual project (so fun to look at past albums) and it's a way to make sure I get at least some of my Christmas-themed pages done. Plus, I have a group of friends that play along with me every year so it's great to see their journals, too. This year I managed to make a template page for each day in an effort to not be so overwhelmed during the whole project. It's been a good way for me to at least get my journaling done ... and then I can go back later to add pictures, titles, and embellishments. Below are my template pages and some of the finished pages. Enjoy!
What a great idea to make the template pages. Seems like the project would be less overwhelming that way. It's coming along beautifully!
