Hello, readers! Are you ready to find out who is the winner of last Monday's "One-Line Journaling" Creative Challenge? A winner was chosen randomly (otherwise it would be too hard to choose). And the winner is ... adele h! Congrats, Adele! Remember, you MUST send an email to Jamie at jamie@coordinatescollections.com not later than Tuesday, January 11, in order to claim your prize. It will be a yummy prize, too, so don't delay!
For my creative stuff this month, I'm sharing a gift set of greeting cards that I made using scraps from December's "Vintage Attic" kit. I've been making card sets lately because they make a great little gift as a thank you, a hostess gift, a birthday gift ... all sorts of occassions. Plus, it's an easy way to use up your scraps.
For this set, I made four cards of varying sizes. Two are 6x6, one is 5x7 and one is 4.5 x 3.5. Cardstock and patterned papers are from the kit. Crate Paper "Restoration" Chipboard came from the CC store. Pink Paislee alphas are from an old CC kit. Prima bling is from my stash.
For sets like this, I want to make cards that look similar, but not exactly alike. To accomplish that, I'll create one and use it as my guide for the following cards, with the amount and size of my scraps dictating the size of the cards and how many cards I make.
To complete the gift set, I bundled the cards and their envelopes with a strip of patterned paper and flowers made from Crate Paper Resortation paper and Jenni Bowlin pearls.
Then I wrapped this in kraft colored tissue paper. This was bound with another strip of CP Restoration paper, topped with Resoration chipboard and some Prima bling, to echo the bling on the cards. The little tag was punched from kit cardstock and a bit of twine.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my post. I hope you've found something to inspire you to create. Happy scrapping!
Kim, this is so pretty! I love the idea of doing different sizes of cards and bundling them together.
